Hydrating Suggie

My suggie is 4 months old. I HAVE researched obsessively for the last couple years until I could finally buy one. All I'm looking for are some tips for my finicky new baby.
The first night with Ozzy I used a hamster/bunny bottle and I don't believe he drank much from it.
Then today my friend helped me feed him water with a syringe. However, he didn't drink much.

I'm concerned because he's typically in the little bonding pouch with me all day. But is he getting enough water? I'm also afraid that when he IS in his cage he's not drinking.

Please help.

i give mine water out of a shallow dish.  they dont drink much as they get fluids from the fruits and veggies they eat!   have you done the tent test? gently pull up the skin between the shoulder blades. if it stays up -dehydrated!  good luck!

I use a standard pet water bottle. Like the kind you would use for hamsters or guinea pigs. My two gliders love being able to hang upside down when they drink.

I started using shallow water dishes after one of my friends gliders died from a malfunctioned water bottle that leaked all out.    I dont trust them period!

It died??? Oh my goodness! How did it happen? Poor little guy

the water leaked out and the bottle was empty and the suggie died.  some folks put a shallow dish under their waterbottles in case of malfunction so there is still water available.

Uh this thread is about feeding sugar gliders not spam.

The spam on this site is really getting ridiculous.     If the owner cant take care of his site then maybe he should either make mods out of those who do care or shut it down.
