hello,my name is joy and i recently purchased a 6mo.old female suggie and was curious how easy it would be too add a playmate and weather to add a male or another female looking for them too get along really good my current sugar glider is very sweet to humans just need to know if this would be the right thing to do or not
prob a younger one................8 weeks or so. you have to quarantine in another room for at least 30 days so she would be about 3 months old before you can start intros like trading pouches, toys, etc. a vet visit is strongly recommended for at least a fecal float and smear after you get your gliders and every 6 months to a year after that. Several gliders are testing positive for round worms and variations of round worms.
wat if you dont live anywhere near a vet that even knws wat a sugarglider is??? how do you know if urs has round worms or any other health problems? i am new and i have a 1 yr old girl and am getting twin girls of the same age soon as rescues... hw do i take care of them where i'm at?
Where are you getting your Sugar Gliders from??? I just made a quick visit to www.glidercentral.net (Glider Central) and clicked on the red button labeled Emergency at the top of the sight, if you scroll down it will come to a thread that says "GC Vet Database" Then you have to click "North America", "United States", "Wisconsin", it comes up to a bunch of cities, and you must click on the one that is closest to your area, there isn't a "Osseo listed", the link is http://www.glidercentral.net/links/page ... index.html
I did a quick MapQuest of all the cities that they have listed, Glendale is 1 hour and 25 minutes away from where you are located. If you will be in that area, that wouldn't be a bad vet to make an appointment with. It's called...

They deal with Sugar Gliders, you shuold give them a call and see if they could set up an appointment for you and your Gliders, remember, any new Gliders should be quarantined for 30 days before being introduced to your other female.
