HPW is a supplimented diet that uses the High Protein Wombaroo suppliment. PM me if you need some links to purchase it online.
Gliders should eat about 3 tablespoons of food each night. They are nocturnal, so should eat at night. 1 Tablespoon of fruit, 1 Tablespoon of vegetables and 1 tablespoon of protein. They need a balanced Calcium: Phosphorus ratio of 2:1 - twice as much calcium as phosphorus. So be sure to keep an eye on those ratios!
Fruits that are generally liked include apple, melons, grapes, pear, blue berries, blackberries, strawberries, peach, plum, banana and watermelon. Some (like banana) must be fed in moderation.
Veggies that are well liked are sugar snap peas, green beans, corn, carrots, sweet potato, cucumber, squash, zuccini, collard greens, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, broccoli, spinach.
Protein sources could include eggs (scrambled or hard boiled), chicken (baked or boiled), yogurt, turkey (baked or boiled), chicken baby food (no added spices). Most of us use an approved diet like HPW or BML as our protein staple.
In addition (unless using HPW or BML or another approved diet), your glider needs vitamin and calcium suppliments added to the food.
Each of these should be given EVERY day.
