you will mostly want to get bonded with him as soon as possible. Have a nice warm place for him to come to, the right kinds of food, toys to play with, and a quiet place so he won't get scared or to stressed when he gets to his new home.
Hope this was good enough in formation if more is needed please post a new message or e-mail me at Shuggaglider@aol.com.
better to have owned a sugarglider then not to have owned one al all!!!
I wouldn't recommending handling the joey until it it about 6-7 week OOP (out of the pouch). About that time they will start to eat the same foods that the parents are eating.
I agree with everything that has been said so far. In addition, I want to add that I am completely against having only one glider. These animals require needs from their own kind that we cannot give them. Also, make sure that anything that you put in the cage is okay for them to chew on. There are a lot of toxin plants out there.

I recently had someone give me their glider pair. Well they ended up mating and now I have two babies. They are still kinda in the mothers pouch but every now and then they get away from her and I have to put them back by her. I am still kinda new at this and the mother does not like to be handled. When can I take the babies out and start handling them??
Thats crazy! Im reading that you dont touch them till 7 OOP yet my breeder sold me mine @ 4 weeks?!?!? I dont get it. She is liscensed and the way she raised them seems to be the right way from what I ve studied. Should I stop all interaction with my glider? She was crabbing alot the first day and now only when shes disturbed or woken up. Actually last night in the cage she made a little bit of noise but she came out of the sock and was exploring the cage and bits of apple, carrot, sweet tomato, apple sauce and yogurt. How often do I feed with the formula? I ve only done it twice a day b/c she doenst seem to like the eye dropper thingy too much, its like she scared of it and then licks the formula and then crabs a little and then licks it again and so on. Anyways this morning is the first time she let me hold her w/o moving or trying to escape. I ve been holding her up against my chest near my heart hoping that she bond sooner. Thank You and all replies are welcomed!
i just lost my female glider at 4 this morning and now i have 2 joeys 6 days oop to care for and im scared to death im going to lose them too. are there any experienced joey raisers out there?
