I have coconut houses in my cages. I put little blankies inside for them. My question is how do you clean the coconuts? I wash the blankies but the house it's self is starting to smell. Anyone have any ideas?

It would be a good idea to wash out the coconuts if they stink badly since suger gliders like to mark with their urine so try to clean them carfully vanessa
If that were me.....I would take it out of the cage and soak it in some warm water with some dawn dish washing liquid. After it soaks for a bit....you could take a wash rag or whatever and run over it a few times. Hope this helps.
God Bless!! I just noticed this posting was from 2004...oh well...maybe this will help others. wildjungle2009-05-12 13:17:14
I agree with WildJungle. I soak all of my toys/hide boxes in warm water with liquid detergent such as dawn. Then I dry them off and let them sit outside in the sun for a few days until they are completely clean, dry and odor free. Ohhhh.....this is from 2004...I just read Wild's message. Smooth. xD Lauren
