I have 2 5wk oop joeys that my fiance mentioned earlier. I am concerned about both of them. Up until recently, the mommy has been nursing them both, but now they both seem malnourished and really shaky. I've been giving both of them dropperfuls of as much of the baby BML(mostly water) that they will take. I plan on taking them both to work with me tomorrow so i can keep a better eye on them, but is there anything else I can do or give them?
Take them to vet ASAP and get some of the replacement milk from a website (cant remember name right now) and have it shipped overnight. Make sure that parents are at least keeping warm and keep close eye on them. Keep us updated
Proud mom of 8 babies: 6 dogs (Layla, Chloe, Hollie, and Chevy, Cash, and Sienna) and 2 adorable Gliders (Jester, Honey Dew)
they may just be dehydrated.
you mentioned them shaking. pull up the skin on their back. if the skin goes down immediately, they have enough water. if not, take them to your vet ASAP.
you may want to make an incubator to keep them warm, so they will eat. suzsugargliders.com is a wonderful place to find do it yourself things for gliders. she is also an experienced breeder (though she has stopped breeding) you may want to email her directly.
