you can use 1 ts apple cider vinegar and 2 ts of pure clover for a 1 pint bottle it helps keep there glans smell down and you give that to them only 1 time ever 2 month and then if you use a brid cage you can put a dog pad in the bottom of the cage and it will help keep the smell down ..

mine wont play on the wheel i actually took it out of the cage but they love to run all over the house in there balls like you would use for hamsters they love to tease and chase the cat while they bounce around I have one that i think is getting a bit to chuncky so he will be in the ball a few times a week till he slims a bit

hello    i just got 2 sugar glider recently and i learned alot off your forum i just had an idea for that wheel they pee in ... just drill a couple of tiny hole all around it like that the pee wont collect in it so when they run it    wont take a golden shower

just a late idea like that

I have a male and a female. Neither are fixed, and yes, they do pee in their wodent wheel. I got my wheel from Suncoast, and it's pretty easy to take apart and clean, and so I do every other day or so. My gliders came to me smelling so awful that I thought I may not be able to keep them, BUT after buying a new cage (their old one was made out of wood and plexi), some Glade plug-ins, changing their diet (the cat food they were on REALLY made them smell!) and finding this awesome cage litter, things are looking good. The stuff I use for the bottom of the cage is a corn cob bedding that I found in the bird aisle at Petco. It's been cleaned and sanitzed, and has these small green granules in it that absorb odor like crazy! My cage has 2 pull-out trays and another pull-out screen, so they can't get to the bottom, but I recommend this stuff like crazy! There is a lot of cleaning, though... Sabrina2008-02-26 15:30:25

Try Suncoast or Exoticnutrition.com for glider shampoo and wipes. They have a pretty good assortment of them!
