Rescued pregnant gliders

I just rescued 2 pregnant suggies. I do not have the daddy...just 2 bonded females. What do I need to look for to be sure that they are taking care of them? I just got them yesterday and the lady said that yesterday was the first day that one of them had joyes out of pocket.
I have 4 of my own but never had joeys before.

Oh My! What happened to dad? You need a joey rejection kit http://www.suzsugargliders.com/joeykit.htm
Please read up on joey rejection and signs of it here http://www.suzsugargliders.com/handraisingajoey.htm

I am not saying your joeys will be rejected or cannibalized but the chance is great because there is no dad who normally plays a large role in the rearing of the babies and because their are 2 females, more chance for baby stealing and cannibalization, and to top it off they have been moved to a new place adding stress and uncertainty. I hope you will keep us posted on how this goes. Personally I would not touch them for awhile or their joeys to alleviate added stress, they know how to raise their joeys better than we do.

Thanks! I will get the kit and just keep a good eye on them. The lady was feeding them "nuts and Cheerios". When I fed them the modified Leadbeaters they went crazy eating. Tonight I only put half in and will go back and put the other half in in a few. I don't want them to eat that fast and that much again.
I haven't tried to touch either of them though they seem to be pretty friendly. They come up to the side of the cage when I go up to it and seem pretty comfortable when I took the pouch out zipped up to put the food in. I saw the one momma with her head in her pouch but I don't even know if that is the one that had joyes out already or if it's the one that hasn't.

YAY you already have them on an "approved" diet, WTG!!! You got this! I am here in and out for support. I am a hobby breeder myself but have not been in your shoes!

I have a few questions...if you have some advice I am definitely open!
1. I have a very "open" floor plan to my house (which isn't very big to begin with) and I have 4 gliders of my own. These girls seem to be healthy, but I have them in a cage in my bathroom where I can close the door to quarrantine them. I have an appointment with the vet on Thursday (none very close to me deal with suggies) and I don't want to risk my other babies, but I have never quarrantined before. I am not going to be able to keep them in the bathroom for a month, but I don't really have any other place that is closed off. Is this necessary?
2. What is the best sleeping arrangement for these 2 mommas? Should I have more than 1 sleeping pouch in there or would it be better to try to keep them sleeping together to hope that they will take care of each other's babies? They have been together (according to crazy lady who owned them) for over a year and have each had a litter while together, but they had dad, too.
3. I had someone tell me that I have to feed the milk replacer to the mommas now. They obviously haven't been getting it and I have to order it since I don't know any place around here to get it from. Is this something that I should be feeding them?
Thanks for any help. I still would have taken them but I was led to believe that they were not this far along and that I would have time to get educated on this.
Also...about dad...this p***ed me off to no end! I called the lady to see if I could BUY the dad from her because she said that he was her "baby" and wouldn't let him go. I just took the mommas and got out of there (she had rats, guinea pigs, mice and a total of 5 suggies...my 2, a bonded pair male female neutered and the male that had been with the mommas) because the place was so gross. But she told me at the time that she had sold the pair and wasn't going to let the intact male go. Well, our conversation today was that the guy who came to get the pair paid her to get the dad, too. I think he was like me...just wanted to get them out of there. But now dad is with some guy and he isn't with his bonded females and they don't have the daddy to help. Just a major idiot of a woman. Wow sounds like a very uneducated breeder! That poor daddy glider. Since they were kept in such a filthy environment I would definitely try to keep them quarantined until a vet visit with fecal float and smear is done. The other gliders may stress them and be seen as a threat to their joeys!
Their diet was horrible I am really surprised they are doing as well as they are. You said you have them on BML. So prob just need to up the protein some with scrambled eggs or boiled chicken or meal worms (mine like the live ones)
I dont know the answer about how many pouches since they have had joeys together before then try just the one pouch(Large). Dont want joeys getting left in a pouch. The milk replacer is in the rejected joey kit and probably would not hurt them but is it really necessary along with the BML???
