gliders are alot more work than a hedgehog. and you can't just hand them off to someone else. these guys become family, and will be heart broken if you just give them up. sg's are not like other caged pets where you can ignore them most of the time, they require alot of work, and not just in interaction. they have diet requirements to be thought about.
i got my first one at 18 and i (this is just me) was not responsible enough to care for him. sadly i killed him. but my point here really is that these are the kind of pet that you when you decide to get one you make a lifelong commitment to these sg's. its a marriage and not a fish that you can just flush down a toilet if you get bored of him.
now having said that gliders are the best guys i have ever had. i love stitch to death. they are so much fun play with. stitch is a part of my family, which now consists of one cat one dog(who my mother stole from me) and stitch, and soon two new SG's. and tom, girls are suckers for gliders
.
but really you have to do alot of research and alot of thinking. think of taking on gliders like having a kid. they truely are alot of of work but a blessing to have at the same time.
