OMG! So 5 days ago I heard my female up getting a drink out of her bottle around noon and a couple strange sounds. So I went to check on her, and found her hanging from the top of her cage kinda sideways grooming her belly. Looked kinda strange to me so I put my hand in to get her out and relized it might be baby time. I wasn't sure what to do but didn't want the babies to fall to the bottom of the cage or her for that matter! I cupped my hand under her back for support and she looked at me and let go of the cage with one hand and then the other letting herself rest in my hand. I pulled her closer to me so I could see what was going on but without removing my arm from her cage 'didn't want to stress her' and sure enough I saw her helping a super tiny, pink skinned baby into her pouch! Sooo flippin cool! I called to my boyfriend so he could see. I made sure the baby was fully inside the pouch before I put her back in with dad. I think I saw her first one being born, and she had the second after I put her up because I heard her start making the weird hissing noise a couple minutes later. Couldn't see in though :( I saw 2 little bumps in her belly tonight, really excited! But nervous, its my first joeys. Any advice would be great! Im kinda scared to pick her up to go back in her cage after I let them out to play though.

How old were the two sugar gliders when they mated? I hear they are suposed to be 7 months old when they are elegible to have babies (?). But I would look up some info on them. Keep an eye on the babies. cause sometimes the mom sugar glider wont take care of them. So if I were you I would look up some info.

The female is almost 10 months, and the boy is almost 9 months old. I have been reading anything I can get my hands on to prepare me for anything that may happen with the new babies. Kinda nervous but very excited! Any advice would be great.
