My male sugar glider is making these cherp like sounds ever since we got a female sugar glider. She also has been making these high picthed barks/cherps as well. We have been told that the female barking/cherping is the mating call(?). Do you know anything about this?

They are proabably calling out to each other. I currently have 3 and they all make a soft cherping sounds when they are together, and when they fight over food they will make a louder crabbing noise at each other but it's just to tell each other it's their food. One of mine barks randomly once in a while just to get my attention because when I come to the cage he runs up on the side and cherps at me and then doesn't do it again. I think they bark when they are lonely.
