No, it is not. I feed my gliders The Priscilla Price diet. This diet can be found at www.thepetglider.com by clicking on 'Nutrition System' she gives a great runthrough of how to make it. I love the diet because it's fresh and has lots of tasty things that they like. If you do not want to purchase her vitamins you can also replace them with Herptivite and Rep-Cal Calcium this is what I do. You can also use this diet in variation with another such as BML or HPW. Those are both highly recommended by the Glider community and wonderful diets from my personal experience. I have tried all three, however, I keep going back to Priscilla's. It is actually the only one that my gliders will eat every single crumb of each night. They are like wild beasts on a rampage! :) Obviously, along with this diet they will still require the usual fresh fruits and vegetables and some extra source of calcium/protein. For this I use Shelled Peanuts, Scrambled or Hard Boiled Eggs, or Boiled Chicken for protein and calcium I use Low Fat Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, etc... They also really enjoy LIVE insects, Crickets, Mealworms, Waxworms, Superworms...They also need fresh water changed nightly, I provide both a water bowl and bottle. This is just what I use and recommend highly.

I have some good info on my website about diets:

sugar glider diet basics
sugar glider diet recipes

Gliders are relatively new to being legal in Georgia & pet stores always give bad advice.  Kudos to you for asking questions & getting on the forums.  I hope you'll select an approved diet.  It seems like the most popular are HPW, BML, and Priscilla Price's diet.
